I was skeptical at first...inky black and 15.3 ABV, but the wine is well balanced with plenty of freshness and lift. Just the ticket with tonight's daube de boeuf.

When in the mood for a big, juicy red wine, this fits the bill. Almost black in color, and full of dark red fruits, currants, blackberries and ripe plums. Good tannins, but pretty well-balanced. Surprising wine.

Wow! Really amazing flavor, dark fruit, blackberry, some balance of tannins so it's not too overly fruity. Not too alcoholic tasting, though 15.3%. Lovely on its own or with food. Really liked it!!
