Chinon Cabernet Franc

One of the best entry level Chinons

Crushed rocks, raspberry jam, green peppercorn and licorice. The fruit is clean and bright but still fairly dominated by gravelly earth.

Classic Cab Franc from one of the master. How do they keep the price so low for such a classic wine. The estate is in good hands with Olga’s granddaughter.
Slight, well integrated pyrazines, tart fruit and great acidity. When Cab Franc is this good, it just makes you want to drink more.

Cab Franc tamed so well. Smells like dried sweet Mexican chili and spicy fruit leather. Softens out wonderfully over a few days open.

Heavy red pepper flavor that I didn’t love

Tannic. Dense. Dark fruit and green pepper. Medium to medium-plus acidity.

Classic. Juicy. Bright. Pyrazines, black pepper. Medium body. Tannin frames it up. Exceptional winemaking. Olga wines are getting more expensive here, but QPR still very high. $25 in my shop

Green pepper corn, “ripe”. Would not drink again

Smoky bell pepper. The nose has a stronger profiles and the taste. Dusty fruit, good structure.
