Marvelously expressive #sancerre - apricot, quince, some green herbal aromas. I didn’t decant much so none of the advertised animal (barnyard) funk emerged but it’s a lovely textured #sauvignonblanc on the palate from the lees aging, mineral notes and candied ginger and honeyed elements on the finish. This is a rounder, less steely style if you like that sort of thing, which I do.

2006 For the vintage still very fresh. Citrus w/ pear. Enjoying with salmon en croutes. Of course, my som., via Wilson Daniels, has once again brought magic from her cellar. If you can get it. Drink it

What Sancerre should be. Tart without being overly acidic, good mineral, long and clean finish.
