Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2021 “Côte d’Or” pours a ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is developing with notes of strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, forest floor, roses, mushroom, and spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and slightly savory. Baller stuff. Drink now through 2041. Thanks for the delicious assist @Lyle Fass

Wow. On the nose, high intensity of aromas. Raspberry, cherry, black tea. Lots of florals. Dried roses, dried violets, peonies. Then the earth creeps in. Fall leaves, mushrooms. In the first 30 min there was a licorice component. This disappeared. On the palate, it is similar to the nose. High acidity, great length for humble origins. Really a fantastic bottle, expertly crafted. @Lyle Fass

One and done. Only made in 21. Fruit is red, not an iota of black. Red apple, spice, limestone and gorgeous clarity to the aromas. Such lift and freshness. Palate is crunchy and super juicy. So clean and lean like the best 21’s are. Unreal texture and such a wonderful hint of bitter. Gorgeous. Now with air it’s all finesse and Brisset magic.
