Sbragia Family Vineyards
Gino's Vineyard Zinfandel

Disappointing. Has classic Zin scents of spicy blackberry and warm, brambly gravel, but on the palate it’s thin and short. Very young vines? Not sure.

Jan 5th, 2019A nice everyday drinker. Cherry, raspberry, spices note, jammy preserves, and oak. A bit of tartness and a medium finish.

Very engaging nose on this one. Ready to go on pop-n-pour, with fresh, sweet red and purple fruits predominant. There’s not a lot of complexity here, but it makes up for that with plenty of pleasure. Great buy for $20-ish.

Gave it an hour of air and it was really showing a nice balance between the dark, mildly spicy fruit and the herbal flourish on the back end. A touch of warmth in the finish, but certainly not ‘hot’. A nice value zin for ~$20.
