Have to say I was a little underwhelmed by this one. I think it was better when I first opened it than after a few hours of decanting. Some leather and tobacco, still good acidity and some momentum. I was hoping for more....

This was pretty tight with tannic structure that needed an hour of air to begin to open. Light bodied showing notes of tart red cherry, leather, dried herbs & tobacco.

The 06 was in pretty good shape. Still had some acidity and tannin but was starting to take on the aged aromas and flavors of leather. I was impressed by how it held together over the course of the evening.
