2023 vintage. Light-medium/medium body. Fairly aromatic with oodles of red berries and cracked black pepper at the onset. The cracked black pepper gave way rather quickly to white pepper and white sage. The raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and boysenberry jam kept on rocking. After one hour open, a slightly astringent but pleasant, Mormon Tea plant + black tea influence + a little pomegranate tartness buttressed by some clove notes. Really really pretty like the previous vintage (10.30.24-9.0) but with much more stuffing. The 2021 effort (6.21.23-9.5) was fab as well but bigger, earthy smoky, heavier and without the delicate intricacies of this 2023 vintage. This is currently drinking like it has 5-7 years of age under the belt. 1.6.26.
