Great to taste a wine from Rio Negro while in Buenos Aires. From vines planted in 1969, this Pinot is fruity and intense, with grainy tannins and light spices. Belies the 14.4% alcohol. — 10 years ago

One of the most amazing Pinot Noirs I've had in a long time. Bodega Chacra, an exciting venture by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta - grandson of Tenuta San Guido's (Sassicaia) founder- focused on Pinot Noir. This wine comes from biodynamically farmed 60 year-old vines in the Rio Negro Valley of Patagonia, and as its name suggests, there is no added sulphur (sin azufre). Clean, precise, pure, nothing funky in it. Vibrant, amazing 🍒 — 7 years ago
So smooth, really well rounded. Recommended by wine shop owner in El Calafate. So delish — 9 years ago
Very nice and smooth; would love to get my hands on a 2010. With so much focus on their Malbecs and Malbec blends, Argentina doesn't get enough attention/credit for their Cabernet Francs, which can be terrific. — 10 years ago

Nice Torrontes with tropical fruit flavors but not overly fruity but instead well-controlled. This wine went great with Gouda. — 2 years ago
Really great blanc de noir from Pembertons — 7 years ago

Excellent, suggested by Ezequiel to have while in Patagonia. Drank at fondue restaurant in Bariloche, Argentina — 9 years ago
Strong aroma, with blackberry center stage and cherry on a supporting role, and a light scent of vanilla on the second swirl. The aromas don't translate strongly to the taste. You can taste the red fruits, though it requires some concentration. The tannins are well balanced and there's a slight acidity on the finish, with a slightly bitter and acidic finish. — 11 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe fresh berry fruits, spice and herb notes, has a splash of Merlot added to the Malbec. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of oak and black pepper notes. Fine soft tannins, great balance with acidity, long finish ending with juicy fruits and mineral notes. Good value! — 3 months ago
