Samakkee Lager

Samakkee Lager. This beer is described as a crisp, sessionable lager, and its name, "Samakkee", embodies the Thai value of "harmony".
Thai lager. Liking the IPA a lot better. This is a Singha (also had with it) without the umph. Btw I also prefer Singha in a bottle versus can. May be bs but I think there’s a difference. Need to blind test it but cold bottle in hand brings back too many memories. Listening to SZN4 (they picked the wrong song)

Enjoy By IPA

I have run out of superlatives to describe this. So, I’ll parrot back what the bottle says: there is no better time than now to drink this beer!

If you’re not drinking this right now, you’re wrong!

Stone Americano Stout

Subtle notes of mocha waft atop a spongy cloud-like cappuccino-colored head replete with bubbles of varying size and a sycamore silhouetted lacing. Dark chocolate malt balls plus cocoa pods inform olfactorily. Bitter chocolate, black mocha, chocolate cereal, vanilla bean, burnt cinnamon stick, burnt toast urge you back to the sweeter chocolate notes as the bitterness escalates to peppercorn-esque with chicory. Not for everyone, but coffee heads will appreciate the pine tar walk off homer! #stone #stonebrewery #stout #americano #imperialstout #beer #beer — 9 years ago

Peanut Butter Porter

Love the packaging and it was actually quite nice. Smells rich, creamy, malty, and nutty. So is the palate - thick bittersweet chocolate drink. Finishes creamy and syrupy. Admittedly not as peanut buttery as expected, but it's a tasty decadent beer. — 6 years ago

10th Anniversary India Pale Ale

10th Anniversary IPA Re-release for the 20th Anniversary Encore Series, big big west coast hops, pine, citrus, peach, orange peel, sweet malt, 10% AVB, Triple IPA, not technically a style, especially back then, adds the new hops now common, Summit and chinook hops, Outstanding back then, and still very impressive, the closest beer to compare with this is Avery's Maharaja, which is still Outstanding as well — 9 years ago

Mosaic Red Rye India Pale Ale

As expected, a reddish hue to the amber, giving this an added warmth visually. Nice diversity of turtle back bubble clusters falling through the negative space of fine bubbled vines forming to leave a cantilevered lacing. The rye gives an earthy note to fig and malty caramel and mangrove honey, while blood orange and sweet lemon rise like a mirage. Great beer entry with a polished iron aspect cutting into the cooked ginger, wild rice and dark tea tastes and textures. A soft recollection of spun sugar heating. Soft and sweet, while bitter and deep. Session-able, with a pause for contemplative memory. .

Joaquin Murrieta Chili Pepper Beer

This is Tioga-Sequoia Brewery's Joaquin Murrieta Chili Beer. Where do I start? The terroir? (Fresno, where so many good things come from, grows the chiles, that make this beer a spicy, hot and cold phenomenon) The smog? The heat? The complicated geo-political space? The morlock valley we all are happy to disparage with one side of our mouth while stuffing it's stone fruits in the other? Sharp, hot chile flavor in the front, round, smokey, still hot chile flavor in the back. Lingers a long time on the exhale. A yeasty, wheaty nose doesn't give any of it's secrets away. I haven't seen this gracing the supermarket aisles any where else but Fresno, so if you find yourself there, grab some. 2017 — 8 years ago
