Columbia County 3.0: Apparently I’m one wine away from my 2,000th reviewed on Delectable, which is probably an odd milestone I would not have even conceived of when starting. What better way to celebrate than with the queen bee of wines (?), royalty w grace : an utterly intense & laser- focused Sauternes. Apricot & pineapple perfumed to the point of raising the rafters. Floods the mouth w quince, candied apricot & pineapple. This may be only its half life, & that’s understating it. — 3 years ago
Crisp but with prominent fruit. — 5 years ago
Had to capture the contrast between the cobalt blue sky and the lava lamp neon orange skin fermented wine. Reminiscent of a Jules Verne novel.
Oranges and apricots in the bouquet blend with honey bee pollen aromas.
Sips of this are sun kisses showering down from the skies as rays of refreshing , thirst quenching flavor.
Clementine surf on a spindrift of apricots cresting into a thyme undercurrent.
Despite having a considerable amount of sediment, which I allowed to diffuse into the elixir, I couldn’t detect much of the funky notes they warn you of. Just rounded out sips of pleasure and satisfaction.
Simply, simply love this. — 6 years ago
Slightly chill before drinking. Floral, blackberry and spice. Some tannin. Medium bodied. Acid. Good summer red option or lunch/brunch. Paired well with aged cheeses, blackberries. Winner of tonight’s tasting. — 3 months ago

🏅 Rating 90+/100 (4,05⭐)
Fresh, floral and energetic. Slightly reductive, but with light touch of oak. Bee wax, yellow plum. Saline minerality on the palate reminds of Chablis from Kimmeridgian limestone. Silky texture, flavours support the nose. Difficult to believe it is regional Bourgogne appellation. It does have this Saint Aubin signature to it. And we know from Olivier Lamy that fruit comes from vineyards adjacent to village and often times declassified fruit from superior appellations enriches this Bourgogne blend.
Superb value for money.

Pretty color of ruby, with medium intensity and a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose with red and black fruits, light wood, coffee, spices, dark chocolates, marocchino cherries and fig jam.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate, and very fruity with black plums, cooked cherries, sweet raspberries, dried figs, vanilla, herbs, cedar, cola, chocolates, Indian spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Single Vineyard Grenache from Mendocino County. Elegant and robust. Fruit forward and spicy
This 9 year old is drinking at its peak right now. Easy drinking right out of the bottle.
I had this vintage 3 years ago and it is drinking better now. Complex and interesting. The alcohol is nicely integrated.
