Funk, smoke, blue cheese, and, shockingly, apples (both sweet and tart.) Outstanding cider. — 3 years ago
Had to capture the contrast between the cobalt blue sky and the lava lamp neon orange skin fermented wine. Reminiscent of a Jules Verne novel.
Oranges and apricots in the bouquet blend with honey bee pollen aromas.
Sips of this are sun kisses showering down from the skies as rays of refreshing , thirst quenching flavor.
Clementine surf on a spindrift of apricots cresting into a thyme undercurrent.
Despite having a considerable amount of sediment, which I allowed to diffuse into the elixir, I couldn’t detect much of the funky notes they warn you of. Just rounded out sips of pleasure and satisfaction.
Simply, simply love this. — 6 years ago
This is actually a white made from a red wine grape, all natural wine - no filtering or fining. Funky on the nose, blue cheese, funk apples, apple cider vinegar. — 8 years ago
Funky blue cheese. Bright acid bit of residual sugar. Sticky lemon tarts, apple cider. Little bubble. — 8 years ago
10' Bevan Cellars EE Red Cuvée. I personally enjoy a well-made Cabernet with a "chunk" of Cabernet Franc in it. The older I'm getting the more I'm enjoying CF profile/flavors.
Give this at a minimum an hour decanting.
Color- Purple with dark ruby red edges.
Full bodied. Blue & black fruits pop out, cider, espresso, pipe smoke also. This is why I purchase wine. Nothing truly stands out on this blend. Drink/Hold.
Bevan and Favia are two of my favorites, when it comes to CF blends . at- The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea, Maui — 9 years ago

Barnyard funk and blue cheese tempered with ripe apple and earth — 10 years ago
A marriage between dry cider and sweet mead. Strong apple notes with honey undertones. Not too sweet. No effervescence. Nice when paired with dried fruit or mixed with brandy. — 2 years ago
Mulling spices, strawberry, cider — 3 years ago
Beautiful apple cider color.
Straight up mangoes. Pineapples. An effervescence in the nose that cannot be pinpointed. Almost like the spindrift of a cresting wave colored sweet with bee pollen and honey.
Honeyed lavender, citrus peel. This is a Chenin Blanc I’d bring to the beach in the heat, toss a football around, and introduce the bros to a wine that could rival, I hate to say it, a mango white claw. I mean it’s a great picnic wine, too. Or a cheese wine. But convincing bros to drink a Chenin Blanc is a challenge I will accept any day. Now if only I could get to a beach without having to wear a face mask.
It’s a bit on the sweeter side without the bubbles to round it out, but the tropical fruit notes are killer enough to hit the 9s. — 6 years ago
Passion of Sice: Bee Well in Bellaire. Very sweet and tart. Golden delicious applies and passionfruit. I do it would ve good to have 1 glass but I can imagine it would be tiring to get a whole growler — 7 years ago
Hints of the apples from the Blue Ridge and pears. Light and sweet. Refreshing. — 8 years ago
Blue cheese and flower nose, the. Zip, zip, zip! — 8 years ago
Reserved nose, very soft effervescence. Great structure and robust, almost meaty palate. Would pair well with blue cheese, mature Brie or salty aperitif. — 9 years ago
Orange blossom, citrus grove, bee hive waxy, mango puree, peach flesh.
Straight up sunny delight. Juice bomb.
Zesty AF, zingy, exactly what I was looking for for my next wine club tasting for wines from the movies. This has got Kill Bill written all over it. The hues, the outlandishness (20% cider, 80 % Riesling), the sharp yellow-orange hue.
Gulpable. — 2 years ago
Cider apples, tart, crisp, fresh, easy — 5 years ago
Gold color, medium+ viscosity and medium intensity. Oxidation and Botrytis on the nose: blue cheese, mousy, cider, bruised apple and baked pear, volcanic ash/smoke, red plum, flinty chalky minerality. Fruit went tart on palate, green apple, green pineapple, green mango, still honey saffron wasabi. Dry, medium body, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, long finish. — 6 years ago
If you told me this was cider, I’d believe it — 8 years ago
If you want to test you tolerance for strange wines or you are a wine geek 🤓 this is it. Very much like an oxidized Jura wine made from the savagnin grape but this is Albarin not Albariño! Tastes like a sherry at first. Super nutty and corky but not corked! Kind of like grape cider. Bracing acidity. Drink this by itself and muse over the flavor for hours. Or pair it with stinky cheeses Goat, aged Taleggio a blue cheese etc. . This is not a wine for a dinner party with friends. I actually think cheese screws up our palate but this wine can take it! Bottle 447 of 670 made. An experience but only for the brave. Only available from Max Kogod in the US. — 8 years ago
