My last bottle of HS after I picked up some random bottles from them a few years back. They certainly have a style (big and rich Paso Rhone wines, with some flair to them( and when you want that style, they knock it out of the park.
Bien Nacido fruit. 100% Syrah. I’m a big fan of this vineyard and this wine channels some of those highlights. Showing classic BN notes of iron, white pepper, gamey smoked meats aromatically, and I’m assuming some use of whole cluster/stem inclusion with the lifted green/herbal profile. On the palate, it’s mouth coating rich and shows typical Paso Syrah style. Tar, blackberries, black currant, pepper crusted tenderloin and even some cherry cordial. If you’re looking for in your face Paso wines that turn it up to 11, these are your huckleberry. — 5 years ago
First BN! Interesting gummy nose, like old chewed up Wrigleys, violets, strawberries. Light but great acid and surprising amount of structure for the sour cherries and strawberries and floral palate, red apples too. Pretty drinkable stuff. — 8 years ago
mmmmm, a little lighter than its brother BN , a quaffable, lightly sour companion to meals or on its own. — 9 years ago
Incredible product, infinite taste and I just paid 21€!!
It's a BN (PN+PM) — 5 years ago
Absolutely lovely. Not some Duboeuf BN - this is a Cru Beaujolais that is young and sharp. On the nose, rose hips, cracked pepper and bright red fruit. In the mouth, cracked pepper, bright cherries and red currants. Bright acid. Moderate tannins. Medium-long finish. Not just a good BN, it’s an excellent Cru Beaujolais - period. — 5 years ago

This smaller production natural BN is trying to be very serious. And succeeds in being delicious. The cherry is bright, slightly charred, with no banana, pear, or tropical flavors... But surprisingly a little cocoa on a decent finish. Find it if you can. — 10 years ago
Beautiful example of BN. — 3 years ago
1st half ..Quite deep amber . Rich , barley sugar , touch caramel . So long and complete deep rich . Great intensity . Sweet but with great balancing acidity .
Second bottle lighter , took more time to open . Fresher , with touch more ripe caramelized peel , marmalade and creme brûlée, even more intense on the palate , acidity is higher but the richness and sweetness still there. Incredibly long. Tastes so young , needed time to open . More complexity . On the basis of this (half) bottle this can last another decade or more . The rating is for this second half , the first would have been 95. Drank at Noizé, London . First half had a level of VTS, the second BN. — 3 years ago
Although I get a bottle of BN every November, I’ve never had a rose from Georges Duboeuf before. Pretty dry with mixed berries and cherries. Haven’t tried the regular BN Villages yet this year but would definitely get the rise again. — 8 years ago
