Good not great. Spicy. Ridgewood wine store Portugal rec. very affordable. Headache inducing? Wouldn’t get again. — 9 days ago

Quinta da Leda Douro Red Blend 2018

Could use some more time aging. Nevertheless, excellent wine. The only good thing coming from Portugal right now because the play on the field has been atrocious. — 10 months ago

Fresh taste. Citrus notes with apple or pear. Very flavorful with being overpowering. — 4 years ago

Really tasty. Dry, smooth, not fruity. — 8 months ago

Sogrape Vinhos

Quinta de Azevedo Vinho Verde Loureiro 2021

A more complex Vihno Verde compared to the regular and fizzy ones. This 2022 vintage shows a more complex style in which has more lime and tropical notes with a slightly additional weight on the palate with a sensible touch of oak and a very persistent finish. AVB 12% indicates that is above average of this style. Liked it better ! — 9 months ago

Sogrape Vinhos

Aiolas Dão Red Blend 2019

Color is a mix of purple and burgundy, a bit cloudy. Nose of dried strawberry, spicy note, currants, and carbonates grape juice. Taste is smooth and follows the nose with addition of zest, decent acidity, and tiny hint of mineral. Some more blackberry. And some more black pepper. Aftertaste of some more warmth from black peppers. Clean and warm, and above average. — 4 years ago

Vila Regia Douro Red Blend 2021

Good wine. Not great but solid and good. Misses a distinct flavor. Generically good — 9 months ago

Casa Ferreirinha (Sogrape Vinhos)

Barca Velha Douro Red Blend 2011

Another beauty. 45% Touriga Franca, 35% Touriga Nacional, the rest is Tinto Roriz and Tinto Cao. Powerful rich and delicious, but it seemed a bit lighter than the Unico and a lot lighter than the Pingus. Decanted 5 hours before serving. Some of the big guns from the Iberian Peninsula! — 9 months ago

Mateus

Vinhos Sogrape Mateus Shiraz Rosé 2021

Mateus Dry Rosé colors up as a medium-pale orange, or salmon color. Red fruit dominates the nose - strawberry mainly - with plenty more of it on the palate. The acidity is brisk, and the fruit flavors are up front. It's not a complicated wine, but it is fairly tasty and may be your best bet for adding the Baga grape to your “have tried” list. It is blended with the Shiraz. — 3 years ago
