Now this is interesting. Alice Feiring club wine and I love it - from Chile, Pais varietal@12% abv + 2018 = fab wine. 18 months until bottle time. Whole cluster, French oak for malo. Organic with minimal SO2 for those who care. — 5 years ago

There’s Aligote and then there’s Aligote—this is the latter. A serious white burgundy to be called blind, love the balance, rich aromatics and racy citrusy acids. Went perfectly with the Catalina spiny lobster. — 7 months ago

I'm glad to share that the new shrine to Bacchus in town has managed to render the New Zealand piece "Sound of White" true to its source material. Truly refreshing in the midst of widespread blasphemy commited by countless so-called shrines in Malaysia, all due to their blatant disregard for the importance of temperature in keeping a piece pristine. Ah, the sweet chord of red pinot fruit, the decay centred around earthy notes, and of course the sharp element that sets the piece in place. I'm happy, despite the rather loud, discordant note of French oak that rang through the piece. Nevertheless, it does not deviate from the composer's intent, which was what mattered most to me on this occasion. — 4 years ago

Very dry and acidic. Full of flavor with rich complexity, leading with blackberries and ending with coffee, oak and caramel. Best with red meat or other heavy food to cut through the acidity. — 7 years ago

Needs a day or very thorough decanting to show best. Sour cherry, berry stem and a touch of Indian spices on the nose. Sour, almost limoncello like initially on the tongue, followed by stone fruit and a touch of rosemary. The limoncello and rosemary give it a sense of heat, although it's only 13.5abv. This is chorizo and olives' natural tango partner. — 8 years ago

Camping with my daughter on Catalina island. I grew up in Colorado so the silver bullet and the banquet beer were staples in my family home. Heck I hit on Pete Coors daughter in high school, she turned me down more times than the sheets at the holiday inn. Ahh sweet memories. Did you know Coors was heavy into ceramics?? Go check it out.
