2021 vintage. This is "The Reward" vs "The Initiation." The Reward is from a clone sourced from Côte-Rôtie. The winemaker, Bibiana, spent a bit o' time in the land of Stéphane Ogier in the NoRhô among other places. Out of magnum and supposedly only bottled in magnum. Holy bleep. This wine has two decades of repose ahead of it before tossing out a few bones. Tighter than a fireproof safe. Will outlive any of your friends/relatives over 65...even if they crack a c-note. Put these bottles in your will. 7.12.23. — 3 years ago

One of the more compelling California Syrahs I have had. I tried my first three wines by this producer tonight. This one just jumped from the glass. No surprise considering the winemaker. — 10 years ago

Love the work that the winemaker does, but this was my first Cattleya. Lifted profile with a touch of spice...assuming some whole cluster usage. Perfumed potpourri, spicy red fruits, and black cherry skin on the nose. Medium acidity with stemmy/herbaceous notes alongside violets, more black cherries, underripe plum and peppercorn. — 7 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Pale lemon yellow color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral and honey mineral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and pear with citrus and floral notes. Medium+ finish, lively crisp acidity, ending with fruit, spice, honey and citrus mineral character. — 2 months ago
