Day 2 notes. Still showing some wood as per usual for this cuvee. But there is so much mint, herbs and wet earth. So gorgeous. Salty as well. Palate is concentrated and elegant not showing any wood and has grand cru grip and structure. Amazing finish. Super pure. Long. Amazing wine. So complex and mineral. — 4 years ago

Cuvée Clairet Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2018
Unusual color for sure. Like a cross between a rose and a red wine. Nose of spice, flint, dusty cherry fruit, citrus rind (orange), tree bark and some nice minerality. Rustic and charming with a hint of etherealness. Some sweaty, feral notes as well. Palate is fresh, uncomplicated and so juicy. Lithe and pretty with a lovely persistence. Nice mouthfeel and elegant tannins. Great freshness, acidity and persistence. Just a pretty when with a hint of rusticity. Love it. This really comes together with air. Also should be drunk slightly chilled. Maybe cellar temp. It’s much better. Textured and deep. 9.1 to 9.2. Nice complexity develops as well. Lacey. Really good. — 6 years ago

Especially by comparison to the flawed Berlancourt Champans we had alongside, this bottle seemed well-structured. Loads of lemon, pastry cream, lime and doesn't betray its heat on the nose. On the palate: lovely acidity, good minerality and now showing some salinity. A touch short on the finish, but solid otherwise. — 3 years ago

Cuvée la Demoiselle Bourgogne Chardonnay 2017
Extremely enjoyable. Very expressive and deeply characterful on the nose and palate. The fruit leans to very ripe apple and pear, cut with some sweet, ripe Meyer lemons and orange blossoms. Toast, vanilla and baking spices compound the whole experience. With all that said the balance and underlying freshness keep it all together perfectly. Drink now or up to 5 or maybe more years. — 4 years ago

The debut of this wine from this cult estate. A stunning wine. What a nose. Blackberry, blackberry flower, cherry flower essence, spices, wet earth and gorgeous mineral. Dark mashed flowers and so so much more all presented with just insane purity. Wow. 9.6 nose or maybe higher once air enters into it. Palate has deep and dark fruit and unreal concentration. So pure but currently folded in on itself but will come together with the. Such awesome sweet blackberry fruit and has a low yield intensity to it. Gorgeous intense minerals, amazing freshness and just jaw dropping purity. Let’s see where air takes it. Now with air the perfume is wild flowers, blackberry flower and just unreal purity. So elegant and juicy but scintillating minerality. So fresh and energetic. — 2 years ago

Nose is mineral, apple, apple cider, a hint of reduction as well. These wines always need 45 mins to an hour and a half to come into its own. No matter what vintage or level. Palate is scintillating with energy to burn and lovely richness. Icing on cake texture. Such vivid fruit. Loads of apples and more apples on top of that. Nose getting more apple pie like on the nose. This is so so well made. A wonderful wine. So juicy and long. What a gem this winery is.

Brilliant nose. Unreal barrel spice, green apple skins, ripe pear and some melon. Staggeringly pure. Wafting salty minerals. Really gorgeous. Palate is ripe and rich with just insane complexity. Juicy and so clean. Unreal finesse and delicacy. So mouthwatering and pure. Super juicy and clean. Terrific inner mouth aromas and endless depth. Outrageous. A stunning Equinces.
