Cool varietal alert: 27% Lledoner Pelut/27% Grenache/23 Syrah/14 Carignan/7 Macabeu. Alpine Catalanes from granite soil so yeah, Beaujolais analogies inevitable but this pretty little wine has its own mojo going on. Barely ripe red cherry notes, & that amazing granite undertow. Drank as a pop n pour, chilled. 16$ & delicious. — 2 months ago
3.5. Very fruity and tasty Cotes du Roussillon. On sale for $17.99, regularly $20.99. — 4 months ago

This is another blend. 42% Syrah, 29% Grenache, 26% Carignan, 3% Lledoner Pelut. Color of the inside of a red plum (Santa Rosa). Smells like rocks, match sticks and cherry cough syrup. Flavors are strange and savory. Flinty, dry and full of herbal tonic style. Hint of iron too. Also some roses. This is a strange and lovely southern French winner. Mountains and flowers, rain in the highlands and berries from the wild bushes. — 19 days ago
