NYE Lily of the valley dit was echt top — 2 years ago
Open in bottle for 10 hours. Rustic tobacco and leather over dried cranberry and cherry. 75% whole cluster shows. Vanilla and clove from 50% new French. Palate is balanced and deep rounding into this sweet midpalate cherry fruit. Tremendous length. Minerality lingers and is accented by elevated black pepper aromas. Still primary with pretty red transitioning to dark fruit. Lots of life in here and plenty of opportunity to evolve. — 5 years ago

Have always wondered when these wines would be open and giving. Never thought Haut Cotes would take this long but right now this is stunning. Right at the apex of it's life.
Plush tannins, developed fruit nicely into secondary notes, lovely earthiness showing in the finish.
Had with a vegetarian version of Marry Me Chicken and was a pure delight — 10 months ago
Quite intense garnet , deep with relatively narrow rim . Slightly smoky , dried rose note , undergrowth , dried meat , quite deep . On the palate still quite nice deep fruit , with nice definition menthol touches . Nice acidity , slightly dry tannin but pretty good length and nicely balanced . Drink now , a nice surprise ! — 2 years ago
Light oak and buttery nose. Good minerality. Well rounded, good mouth feel. Had this at le Bernadin. — 5 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2013 pours a deep, slightly hazy ruby color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of strawberry, raspberry, dried roses, sous bois, licorice, dried green herbs, gentle warm spices and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and full of rustic character. In general, the 2013 vintage in Burgundy is on fire right now. And as far as Domaine de l’Arlot is concerned, I adore these wines and wish I could drink them more often. Drink now through 2038. — 21 days ago
