Different than the Les Barres, but delicious in its own right!! — 8 years ago
A student of Anselme Selosse—his sensibilities show in young Alexander Chartogne's exquisite cuvées. The Les Barres Extra Brut 2010 is alive with olfactive charm. Lemon curd, trinity cream, honeyed bread, mint and marzipan, all of which is underpinned by an earthy-minerally undercurrent that dominates the nose and palate of this handsome 100% old-vine Munier. Texturally, the body is dense and creamy complemented by a find bead and tensile acid spine. It's gorgeous. Sample — 10 years ago

My first experience with Sandland’s White Table Wine. Apparently, it’s Tegan’s love for Mediterranean white wines that is said to be the inspiration. This wine was released for the first time in 2019. What’s basically a 60/40-ish blend of Lodi Chenin Blanc and Napa Semillon, the wine pours a pale straw color with medium viscosity and no signs of particles or gas. On the nose, white flowers, peach, pear, some citrus and lanolin. On the palate, the wine is dry. Again with the pears and some papaya and citrus too. Medium body. Medium to medium+ acidity with a long, tropical finish. 7 barres produced and I was only allocated 2 bottles this time around but seriously grateful for what I can get! Paired well with summer, grilled sausages and poblano peppers. — 5 years ago

In my constant search for the best 100% meunière, this is up there with the best, C-T Les Barres, Prevost, Bereche, Emmanuel Brochet, and the impossible find George Laval.
An exciting combination of energy and restraint. It’s not about the fruit. Very savory. — 8 years ago
An Ariana Rolich selection from @chambersstwines. Superb. Muscular, deep, elevated. Mostly pinot noir from Les Barres. A true revelation. — 13 years ago
Broad with a quick bite of cherry-like acidity on the front of the palate and tangy yellow fruit in the mid palate followed by brioche and toast. Beautiful bottle of wine. — 5 years ago
2nd bottle of the evening. Ridiculously great for the price. Subtle, very crafted. — 6 years ago
