— 6 years ago
This is actually Jacques Carillon Chassagne-Montrachet 2015. The classic Carillon rich and supple nose is there along with the racy acidity and creamy lemon. There is a small cloying hint of honeysuckle, may be a reason this was downgraded from 1er Cru (or blended cross-vineyard). Still quite drinkable and a good price. — 9 years ago
Magnifique ! — 4 years ago
Garnet in color. Intense aroma of red licorice, cranberry, dried cherries, and smoke. Incredible earthy palate that tastes of campfire and unsweetened chocolate. It finishes with very mild tannins and long lingering flavor of earth , like autumn leaves on a forest floor. — 5 years ago
Jacques is the farmer of the two brothers and his wine shows restraint if such can be said of such rich layered and complex wine. At 12 years young this is showing it’s Grand Cru pedigree. Sublime in this case is hardly an exaggeration. — 7 years ago

Over the hill but still delicious. — 5 years ago
Man tackar. Superkomplex doft. Aromatisk men citrus och snäckskal. Bra potent syra som fyller gommen. Nektar, bakad apelsin, knäckig, oljig med mineralisk knaster. — 9 years ago

Light garnet color with a small ruby core. Aromas of wet soil, red berries and dried rose petals. Flavors of raspberries, red currants, mushrooms and savory spices. Long lasting finish. Gripping acidity with very silky tannins. Light bodied and quite savory but still full of finesse. Needs a bit of aeration to fully open up. Solid value and nice mid-week option. Thanks for the bottle, Kase. — a month ago
