Good minerality and lemon/citrus notes — 6 years ago
Dark ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of balsamic, blackberry, black cherry, coffee, mocha, oak, sage, smoke, toast, tomato, and vanilla. Full body; heavy, firm tannins; and medium-high acidity. Robust, deep, and complex (especially after 13 years in the bottle). Rounds out as it opens up. An exemplary, bold California red blend made of 8 different varietals. — 6 years ago

Poured through Coravin aerator. Dark ruby. Inviting nose of black raspberry, light oak, and cassis. Full bodied palate echoes the nose with velvety tannins and a lengthy, slightly nutty finish. Cabernet Franc takes the lead in this “upside down” Bordeaux. Slightly New World in style, but Bordeaux all the way. Drink now through 2025. — 6 years ago
Have had the7 year old, the 12 year old, the 18 year but the first time for this 25 year old rum from Nicaragua. Quite dark in colour - probably showing the extra age in oak casks. Sooty caramel aromas that translate to the palate. Resinous and oh so smooth. The palate is so rich the alcohol heat is not apparent with a small block of ice. Love these Flor de Cana Rums - have an 18 year left in the cellar for the upcoming winter. — 6 years ago
What.a.week.... I really deserve a good wine on this TGIF after the busy week I’ve had! 50% Cab Franc, 40% Merlot, 10% Cab Sauv. I’ve lucked out with smooth wines lately. A little earthy at first but after a 30 minute decant it’s opening up nice. Thank goodness! — 7 years ago
Dense powdery tannins with juicy strawberry and red fruit. — 8 years ago
Love, Love, Love this great little find! Full bodied, no weird aftertaste, this could be my new favorite go to - for $18 can’t beat it! — 8 years ago
A wine from Jorge Ordóñez and his winemaking team. Pale lemon color with crisp stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and melon with lemon citrus, consistent offering from La Cana. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral tang. Nice value. — 9 months ago

The consensus among Biblical scholars is that Jesus turned water into pinot noir for his first miracle. This bottle confirms that, even though it doesn’t quite reach the quality served at Cana that fateful day. — 7 years ago
One of the best budget reds around. Could be even better with another couple years, but drinks well young. Cherry and oak in nice balance. Deep and grippy. — 7 years ago
