2012 vintage. Finally opened this amazing find from our 2017 Tuscany trip. Superb Sangiovese and Merlot blend, after about an hour of opening up and aeration, this went down nicely. Decent aroma on the nose, subtle taste of cherry with smooth tannins, a nice dry blend with the offset of Merlot. Paired phenomenally well with Marcello’s Spaghetti Bolognese. — 12 days ago

Delicious and complex Niagara Riesling, light gold colour with a nose that hints at tropical flower and fresh lime. Very zingy acidity with a semi-dry palate resembling cider with a long saline finish. Paired with a spicy coconut shrimp curry. — 7 years ago

Emma & Christian Sorine - Santenay vieilles vignes 2018.
Very nice nose of cherry, rose petals, hay, vanilla and tiny bit of oak. This is very subtle and nice. The palate is model of balance, strong acid backbone, very wide palate with cherry notes and a floral thing if that's even possible to taste, a teeny tiny touch of oak, a soft and delicate mouthfeel that shivers nicely in mid palate to the rhythm of the tannins. The finish is salivating with cherry, those nice oaky notes, a persisting tannins layer and a crisp, almost fresh everlasting note. This is truly a great effort. I didn't expect it to be on that level. — 5 years ago

Big words: best red wine PM has ever made. So joyous and energetic! The kind of wine that takes you out of conversation to remark on how delicious the wine tastes at every sip! Popped and poured; no formal notes. Served alongside our dinner of a simple pasta dish: spaghetti all’arrabbiata. The 2013 CC Riserva from Casa Emma is redolent of gorgeous black cherry, raspberries, bergamot, dried green herbs, espresso, a touch of leather and subtle spices. Stout structure with tannin still firm and acid ideal for food. Long, dry and sublime finish. Every time I drink these wines from Casa Emma, I fall deeper in love. The 2016 vintage in Toscano created wines that are right up my alley and this bottle from Chianti Classico by Casa Emma was no exception. Abundant cherries, dried herbs, black tea, and dusty earth. So fresh and energetic! At this stage, the wine is quite tannic…super duper dry, and the finish is as long as the day. Obviously best with food but not necessary given the abundant character and generosity. What a beautiful Chianti Classico and a just a gorgeous wine in general.
