Generally what you'd expect from a budget Pinot - oaky/vanilla, cherry, a bit of a bite — 4 years ago
Jeroboam, 2018 Vallobera Rioja Crianza.
You know how they say wine is for sharing… shared well.
So much more than expected! Poised and polished, unfolding dark cherry, black plum, and cocoa, framed by fine tannins, savory oak, and a beautiful, effortless balance that lingers like good company long after the glass is empty. — a month ago

Had the 2021 vintage in November 2025. Very good, bought it at Trader Joe’s because I visited this town in the Rioja region and liked their wines. Not disappointed with this one. — 3 months ago

Dayum. Beautiful translucent ruby in color, this wine is so bright, lively, and fresh. Flavors of red fruits and cherry cola pop from the glass. This is a 50/50 blend of two grapes I seem to be favoring these days, so it's no surprise that I enjoyed this as much as I did. 50% Cinsault, 50% Paìs. 8/24/22. — 4 years ago

This is a big one, bold, juicy, with real presence of the 16% alcohol despite the age. Nose of blackberry, pine wood, vanilla, band-aid, somewhat musty clothes, and cacao. The age is definitely there in the musk and dustiness, but it’s unclear what to expect with a beast like this. Full bodied, dark purple/red and deep color, but no sense of the age in the color. Palate shows more of the age, deep chocolate notes, overripe plum, driftwood, slate and some malo-like milky elements. The alcohol is definitely there, with a finish like menthol, softened but present, well integrated tannins, with those Chico-raspberry like hints lingering for a long time into a finish that’s round and somewhat meaty. Weirdly, VERY strangely, tastes a little bit like skin. — 20 days ago
