Nice Chardonnay. Lemon/vanilla notes. Very smooth and satisfying white wine — 6 years ago
Really great merlot. As CWM said, a merlot for Cab lovers! Full bodied, but still light enough to drink on its own without too much of the heavy mouth feel. — 6 years ago
Black currant, black licorice with Rutherford dust. — 5 months ago
California tasting , More vanilla, 18 mo oak. Def buttery but not crazy — 10 months ago
Barrel Select is real nice Santa Barbara Pinot Noir. Strawberry/cherry notes with cola and vanilla — 4 years ago
Fernando's favorite. — 6 years ago
Fruit is still there! One of my favorites! Bob Foley is as good a winemaker as there is on the planet! Big, fruit driven, plum and rich, but incredibly balanced. Just so good!! — 6 years ago
A lovely wine, but I prefer the 2005 Petite Sirah (I am drinking them side-by-side). Dark fruits to be sure, but pretty peppery. — 7 years ago
Pleasantly soft -- very drinkable. — 7 years ago
Medium body with elegant finish. Dark fruits, some earth, and some hints of spice. Yummy wine. — 9 months ago
2 words Bob Foley. He never disappoints. Big bad cab that is well balanced front to back and has great acids. This is a great wine. Please enjoy — 2 years ago
This was on the bubble. Fully mature, but drinking perfectly now. A shade too much oak on the nose and palate. Tannins are close to resolved, and not too much acidity to talk about. Still fruit dominant with black cherries and linze torte. Consume with the next 12 - 24 months. — 5 years ago
pale yellow, watery rim; Golden Delicious apple, lemon zest, white flowers; orchard fruit, slight chalkiness; medium body, bright acidity, 14.3% ABV; Foley’s annual stainless steel bottling offers lovely fruit in a fresh, bright style not masked by barrique or excessive bâtonnage; $30 — 6 years ago
2nd wine of the night and much better. Likely better fruit expression but had enough back bone for me — 6 years ago
Typical Napa merlot made up of 90/10 merlot and cab - Power and finesse creating a nice balance - taste of dark cherries, blackberry compote and exotic spice. Juicy, ripe and lush on the palate, framed by supple tannins with a long elegant finish with chocolate and vanilla bean noticeable - Foley is winemaker - No one will be disappointed as this is dense purple color with a merlot luscious, full, pedal-to-the-medal but only has imo five years left and this is definitely in the drinking zone now — 7 years ago

One of the best California Pinots I’ve had. Red fruit, tobacco, and pepper, oaky and savory with spot-on body and balance. Excellent value at Costco — a month ago
