Valdo was started in 1926 by the Societa Anonima Vini Superiori and purchased by The Bolla Family in the 1940's. Straw yellow with fruit and floral aromas. Small bubbles with peach and ripe apple fruit tastes, nice balance between fruit and crispness. Nice value. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago

Interesting and delicious! Not Etna and so very little minerality. Dried currants and prunes, dark leather, some smoke, old-growth hardwood, minimal tannins, decent acids. From Flatiron Wines. — 8 years ago
