This is the version without sulfur. Opened with about 2 hours of air and the funk blew off, not that there was that much to begin with. By 2.5-3hr there was a lot more mint and leather in it, less abrasive on the palette. Nose of tangy rhubarb tart, mossy log, lil mint. Integrated acidity and tannin, not that fruity. Palette had a hint of pacific cooler, Gatorade frost into the best piece of chalk you’ve ever eaten. Long finish with vanilla bean ice cream and fresh red berries — 5 years ago
The beautiful thing about wine is that there is something for all occasions (and subsequently, all price points). I absolutely adore the Macon for its flavor & value. Let’s admit, Chardonnay for its category is pretty well saturated. A village-level wine need not be seen as one dimensional or simple but rather all-encompassing of a single appellation or a better testament of producer winemaking using a greater scope.
This is my bargain wine. This is my Gatorade. I drink this to myself on summer nights when I wreck havoc on my coworkers for inviting me to their Fantasy Football league. Go team — 8 years ago

[notes for RB 2019 Gittens Vineyard] Orange wine. Destemmed, 6 months on skin then 6 months aging in emphorae. Ex alnort-robert amphorae. Hazy and orange in color. Jasmine, Gatorade, white pepper, citrus, dried orange candy, sour cherry. High acidity, med tannins, med+ finish. Lovely texture on the palate. — 4 years ago
Complexe orange wine. Color almost red on the burgundy side. Copper? Nose: Apricot, Gatorade, 2 days old cut grass, honeycomb. Stunning wine: juicy. Fresh. Bone dry. Astringent mouth feel. Long lasting. Citrusy. Spices. An amazing wine to be kept safe and enjoyed solo if possible. Such greatness is impossible to keep for your self. Wow. — 8 years ago

I’ve been coming to Switzerland every year since 2006, but I still can’t believe I can buy this at the gas station next to the Gatorade! — 2 years ago

Funky! Really fun Orange wine. Green grapes and grapefruit, orange Gatorade, tart, almond overtones. Excellent, very enjoyable to drink. — 6 years ago
Predominate acidity, lemon lime Gatorade appearance and almost mirrored in flavor. — 8 years ago
Tangerine gatorade. This will really freak em out:) #winetherapy — 8 years ago
Incredible lively aromas of mint, ripe melon, stone fruit and juicy citrus. Palate has great fruit but is driven by salinity and blazing acidity. This rosé, one my favorites of all time, is like a dead-of-summer fresh watermelon salad with mint and feta, with some EVOO and salt and pepper. That, or Gatorade for those of us who don’t really play sports. — 8 years ago
