2016 vintage. Domaine Gerard Metz Riesling grand cru Muenchberg. A full body riesling, round with fragments of green spices — 3 years ago
On pop-n-pour, the nose is intensely minerally, showing medium-toned freshly-cracked stone, along with almost pungent purply-mountain berry fruitiness. A musky, feral note in there too. Chiseled and structured in the mouth. It’s full-bodied, with a fair amount of chalky tannin present. Very much on the minerally side, flavorwise. I like it but this is unlike any other Sancerre Rouge I’ve ever had. I’m pretty certain I would not be able to identify this as a Sancerre Rouge (or a Pinot Noir of any sort) if it had been served blind. — 5 months ago
Blind tasting lunch 2009 theme. Nose with strong sugar and sweetness impression that we find on the round and fairly fat palate, a little bit of acidity to balnce it but a finish with some alcool and residual sugar, clearly identified as F. Cotat. 88-89 — 4 years ago

2021 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 30 mins and 1.5 hours. Medium body. Suggestive nose. Nice melding of primary fruits and spices. Tough to lay off now. 12.5.25. — 16 days ago
