So good. Liquorice, dark, bramble, warm. — 6 years ago
Cocoa powder, basil leaves, meat, game, smoke, elevated minerality, concentration, acidity, tannin and body lol. Large french oak barrels. Dark ruby. — 8 years ago
Smooth berries and warm juicy mouthfeel. Higher in alcohol than I expected but well balanced and great acidity. Highly recommended vintage. — 9 years ago
Solid, tasty red. 2013 vintage. — 10 years ago
A classy Chardonnay for a hot vintage. Comes in at beautiful 12.5% alcohol, crisp with a touch of creaminess and hints of fresh pineapple. Well dinner was Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad so will have to make sure it goes well with it otherwise I will be forced to drink it on its own. @hewitson #vinowithmicha #sawine #chardonnay — 11 years ago
Delectable - this is the Mourvèdre - not in your Database. Requested an expert review. Notes of plum and black to blue fruits - spicy, umami - finishing with a touch of tar. Easy to drink. I have always thought that McLaren Vale does Mourvèdre well. Also some old vineyards in the Clare Valley as with Wendouree (Mataro). Although one must acknowledge the Old Garden from Hewitson in the Barossa, planted in 1853 and reputedly the oldest Mourvèdre vines in the world. — 3 years ago
Rich, balanced and smooth Shiraz. Well integrated tannin, cigar box drenched in dry dark fruit. — 7 years ago

Fylligt som en riktig Amarone, plommon och en sötma som gör att det är angenämare svalt. — 8 years ago
One of the best blends I've had. Worked superbly with meat (ox tongue) — 10 years ago
Powerful wine that went well with my Georgian lamb. Too strong to drink alone. But perfect with steak or lamb. Powerful nose with strong brooding flavors. — 3 years ago
Excellent wine 9.5 — 6 years ago
Personally brought it back from Australia. The very accommodating winery and their absolute wonderful staff accommodated a direct shipment to the city I was staying, free of charge. Deep dark tanniny liquid. Dark, dry layered fruit, with satisfying complexity and a finish that kept you wanting to drink more. A bit unbalanced kept it away from a higher score. — 7 years ago

Dark vibrant fruit, nice balanced wine showing itself well. — 10 years ago
Usually Barossa shiraz is not really my cup of tea, but I did like the (relative) lightness and restraint in this wine. Still a big wine for my taste but the dark chocolatey bitterness in the aftertaste won me over. — 10 years ago

Checking out hot springs in the backcountry of Idaho. What better than to bring your gun…. Gun Metal Riesling that is!! From down under Barossa Valley. Hewitson. Dean Hewitson, everything he does is great. Including the Riesling. — 6 months ago
