Light, delicious chilled and with pizza. A dry Brachetto. Rose petals, wild strawberry, crushed granite, wet steel, some brambles. From Main Street Wine and Gourmet, Orleans. 08/10/24 — 2 years ago
Surprisingly good Cabernet Sauvignon from the Texas Hill Country Becker winery.. The grapes are actually grown in the Texas High Plains. I had drank another Becker Iconoclast years ago and it was very good. The wine was smooth with strong hints of chocolate. Paired well with red meat. Drank in December 2023. — 2 years ago

2018 vintage. Léoville-Poyferré-involved concern. 73% Malbec 18% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Petit Verdot 3% Syrah 1% Cab Franc. 100% delicious. Medium/medium-heavy body. Nice balance of grip/zip and sleeko suave. Can hold its own in a street fight now or be the scheduled, 12-round, main event in 2040-your choice. $28.85 resto cost on 3 cases. 14.5% ABV. Definite big red blend value contender. 04.13.25. — a year ago
Pretty light, great acids, light tannins. Smooth drinking. Lots of cherry, mineral, touch of graphite. All the goodness of high-altitude Valtellina. Translucent ruby, not the brick color nor the tar you’d expect for a Nebbiolo but great. From Main Street Wine & Gourmet, Orleans. 07/01/24 — 2 years ago
Rated this 7 years ago and it’s still not from Lombardy, Delectable 🙄

Nice, savory Nebbiolo although more purple than brick colored. Fresh, mineral, wet steel, dried roses & violets, touch of tar & tobacco. Good price for a Gattinara, although NV. From Main Street Wine and Gourmet, Orleans. 06/06/21 — 5 years ago
Young and not so expensive, delicious for a Barolo at this price ($38). Lots of roses, good acidity in the tar, nice tannins, steel, dark cherry, light leather, touch of black pepper, dirt next to a mushroom. A touch lighter than typical Barolo. From Main Street Wine and Gourmet, Orleans. 12/31/2024 Happy New Year! — a year ago
