Pouco Comun Vinho Verde Alvarinho 2022

Final night of the cruise dinner in Le Bistro. Might be the first time we went with seafood dishes and a white wine! No Bordeaux Blanc on the included wine list so we went for a familiar grape/region. Weighty on the palate with citrus, salinity, and floral notes. Damn good for a free bottle! — a month ago

Meandro Vinho Branco Douro White Blend 2023

A fresh & enticing Rabiga/Arinto blend.
Mirabelle & Reine Claude plums, with (underripe) lemons and green apples. Juicy & crisp.
Light on the palate, fresh & clear, juicy with enough depth & substance to make it interesting. Nice length, too.
A nice one for sipping.

Morgadio da Torre

Vinho Verde Alvarinho 2021

Brought this back from Portugal in 2023 and finally drank it. Awesome wine even if it was maybe a little past its prime. Classic Vinho Verde citrus and floral nose and a dash of minerality. On the tongue it's missing that light effervescence I love but it still brings a lot of citrus and light fruit sweetness that balances the acidity. Would absolutely buy again if I can find it over here! — 3 months ago

Vinho Verde Alvarinho Trajadura 2023

Very good and very Portuguese. Lemon-lime and saline. Light, clear and gently acidic. Similar to Spanish Albariño (same grape) but lighter. Never had Trajadura before, but it’s part of the blend. 12% abv. Really great value white! With Momofuku noodles. — 10 months ago
