Every vintage is a delight.
Light, airy, aetheric and yet with nice precision & purity to the light, crunchy cherry. There’s also a hint of damson plum and cool, rocky minerality. This is very enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate with quite present, firm tannin and juicy, vibrant acidity. Cherries again with a mineral undercore. Nice depth and good length here.
Surprisingly youthful for 8y, this is holding up very nicely but is also a joy to drink now. Delish! — 13 days ago
Very youthful for almost 20y, both in colour and on the nose, with the primary fruit still very present - black cherry, a bit of brambly blackberry, with some leather & cedarwood in the background. Still very fresh & enticing.
Brilliant mouthfeel, medium bodied with present but already mellowed tannins and fresh, juicy acidity. Good depth & great length. Fruity yet savoury, cool, elegant and so drinkable. The bottle empties dangerously fast.
Delicious stuff! — 19 days ago
Clean, crisp, crystal clear.
Chablis’esque purity with limestone minerality and saline freshness.
Very proper, very food friendly, with nice depth & length. Yet not as exciting as I expected. — 4 days ago
A super interesting wine, virtually fruitless, with copious amounts of dried herbs and nice minerality.
Firm, medium tannins, fresh acidity, nice balance & depth. Very food friendly (think moussaka). A good one! — 4 days ago
Comparing two top end Taurasi from Feudi di San Gregorio
The Fievo is lighter vs Rosamilia, with more baking spice and uplifting orange peel & orange blossom character to the ripe black cherry. The black volcanic minerality underneath is the same unmistakable Taurasi.
On the palate, slightly juicier with the fruit slightly lighter and the tannins less meaty.
Brilliant depth & length, though still a baby.
Drinking at this moment, I slighty prefer the Fievo, but both are brilliant wines. — 17 days ago
No time for more proper notes.
Young (!!), bold yet surprisingly restrained, big (polished) tannins, nice depth & length.
I like the mid palate.
Stash away or have with food. — 21 days ago
Oxidative and evolved with balsamic notes, a bit of leather, preserved cherry. Surprisingly fresh on the nose.
Electric, piercing acidity hits on the palate, with evolved fruit following. Tannins still fresh. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Expressive, dark, yet joyful.
black brambly fruit, with some dark plum, fig, walnut and some exotic spices. A hint of volatile acidity adds freshness. There’s a touch of dried orange peel, too and loads of dried herbs.
Mid weight on the palate with juicy, slightly rustic tannins, fresh acidity and good fruit. Savoury sweet, with some earthy notes and yet, somehow, brilliant freshness.
This is really good! — 4 days ago
Comparing two top end Taurasi from Feudi di San Gregorio
The Rosamilia, coming across slightly heavier vs Fievo with dark plum, baked black cherry, a hint of cinnamon and the black volcanic minerality more pronounced. A hint of coffee dregs or very dark roasted espresso.
On the palate, slightly fuller than Fuevo, the pronounced yet juicy tannins and brilliant acidity. The dark spicy plums are on the forefront.
Brilliant depth & length, still a baby though.
Probably should wait longer than Fievo. Might need to dip into my 2016s instead. — 17 days ago
Jakub Kalinowski
Young, crunchy, sappy, fun.
Very fresh & juicy, whole cluster fermentation, shows then joyful, glou-glou side of Nebbiolo with amazing flow and nice character. There’s enough interesting edges and a bit of depth to make this interesting, but at 12% this is a joy to sip & drink. If you’re into more savoury wines that is.
Fun & quite delish — 18 hours ago
