One of the better 15’s I have had and I really dislike the vintage. The nose is very 15 with sunshine ripened dark cherry fruit that teeters the line but it’s not quite over the line. It’s still all fruit on the nose and not much jf any soil tones. Palate is rich and delicious with decent freshness, good cut and energy and very ripe. Insanely juicy and decadent and still a baby. Needs 10+ years for this to show more Cote de Brouily versus Gamay, which is what it is showing now. — 2 years ago

Very dark rubi robe, no signs of 18 year old. From a half bottle which is remarquable. Notes of flowers and spices, medium bodied, balanced, great acidity and fruit. One of the last vintages before JF Mugnier took it back. Great stuff ! — 5 years ago

Decanted for 5 hours Friday and didn't much care for it. Revisited Saturday and liked it. By Sunday night it was singing! Heft and graphite but also a little lighter eucalyptus/ Herb streak that was so interesting. I love JF wines but find that all of them need a ton of time to open up. — 9 years ago
