3 good things about a 3 day weekend. Dodgers vs Padres with Kershaw on the hill followed by one of my favorite merlots. The mailbox reserve is right up there with Paloma and Switchback--rich, weighty and lush. Spring mountain does something with merlot that makes me seek them out. The '13 is still youthful and needs time to shed some tannin so I'd hold for optimum enjoyment.....and optimum enjoyment is always the goal. Happy Labor Day weekend 👷🏽💼🍷🍈🍈 — 9 years ago

Oak on the nose with a nice finish. Not a bad Chardonnay. — a year ago
Picked this up on recommendation from wine shop while visiting my daughter in Chicago. The Barefoot stuff she had just wasn’t going to cut it. There is so much red fruit. Cherry, strawberry, pomegranate. Baking spices...cinnamon, cloves?? Even some earthiness starts to show after a bit. Had a glass then threw it in the fridge to chill for a bit. I think I have had PN from 4 different continents in the last 2 weeks. Aromatics are fantastic. This is so good. — 6 years ago

Burgundy in Elgin, basically. — 7 years ago
Smooth and fruity. Slightly light in the body for me, but enjoyable none the less. Long smooth fruity finish with a hint of spice. — 8 years ago
In honor of game 6, I am opening this bottle from @David A Lentine to help an anxious cubs fan get through the next couple of hours. Thanks to @LM Segal for the decant time heads up to align with game time. I am an hour in and going to let it sit a bit more to soften. @Paul T brought the big guns with Kershaw, but the cubs have too many sticks. Thanks for bolting to Orlando @Daryl Calhoun - no invite?!? #iaintafraidofnogoat Thanks again @David A Lentine for sharing this one. TN Update - working on 3 hours decanted and it is starting to shine. Soft on the palette with black cherries, strong raspberries, and vanilla. I have to add very juicy - haven't had something with this mouthwatering effect before. On the nose raspberry and flower box come through on this ruby gem. — 10 years ago
