Domaine de Panisse CdP Noble Revelation
First off you have to know that I love! Love CdP. This is the 2012 vintage and it is hitting all the right notes...
The hue is red with a dollop of brown if you will. After a two hour aeration the smell is quite pleasant: ripe dark plum is predominant with a slight hint of dried Mediterranean spices. Balanced from beginning to mid-pallet, velvety! On the fore-pallet it feels bold and tannic with a long and savory finish.
There is a very casual non pretentious quality about this CdP which screams “drink me” after each and very sip... Enjoyed with a roasted Frenched rack of lamb and red wine reduction sauce, asparagus, and cherry tomatoes. Selection by the lovely Maria Chantal. — 6 years ago
Vintage 2004 - it’s quite comforting and energizing to drink a good bottle from my cellar after a hard day’s work. This special cuvee from old merlot vines exceeds my expectations: very rich and complex smell with tobacco, vanilla, morello cherries and a taste of minerals, beautiful ripened. What a great effort of grower Denis Lafon this is, it makes me só happy. #bordeaux #merlot #cotedeblaye #petitbordeaux Partnered it with a deer hamburger. — 8 years ago
La révélation de la soirée,un peu plus difficile à appréhender que le Cornas mais un pur délice... — 9 years ago
La révélation du soir, pour moi . Un beau chardonnay du Jura, légèrement oxydatif, avec une pointe d'amertume à la fin. — 11 years ago
Wonderful. Lots of bubbles, a little toasted bread taste, plus apple/citrus but balanced. Medium weight. Does not disappear behind a meal, but carries flavors. — a year ago
A much lighter GSM than we are used to….nice dark ruby color with floral notes — 5 years ago
Very good. — 6 years ago
I’m typically not a white wine drinker, but we opened with a Vietnamese cold noodle salad and it was perfect. A delicious French white. — 7 years ago
Lovely structure to the tannins. — 9 years ago
It gets a 9.9 again! Jesus what a fucking wine. Terroir is even more important than most people realize. You can identify old vines in almost any Cistercian vineyard, cut yields, raise them like your children and you can have a great transcendent Pinot Noir. Stop being appellations snobs. — 10 years ago
Very smooth, velvety. Sherri, you'd like this one! It's a Trader joes find 😉 — 12 years ago

Se rapproche du Meursault en plus subtil et moins sec. Une très belle révélation pour la fan que je suis. — 4 years ago
Really smooth easy drinking Pinot noir 💕 — 7 years ago

This sub $10 Trader Joe’s treasure really shines. The butter is restrained and balanced, also has a bright acidity. Notes of citrus on the nose and caramel, vanilla and butterscotch on the palate. Great delightful wine to pair with spicy food. — 9 months ago
