Aromas & Flavors
Bright orchard fruits, candid citrus, green apple, pear, and subtle stone fruit notes layered with hints of brioche, white flowers, and delicate toasted almonds.

Mouthfeel
Lively mousse with lovely tension and balanced acidity. Refreshing, energetic, and clean while maintaining enough texture to feel complete and satisfying through the finish.

Food Pairings
Excellent with smoked trout, oysters, sushi, fried appetizers, soft cheeses, or light seafood dishes. The pairing with fatty smoked trout submerged in garlic olive oil sounds absolutely spot on, the acidity and freshness would cut beautifully through the richness.

Verdict
A surprisingly well-balanced and highly approachable Champagne that overdelivers in freshness and drinkability. Vibrant, refreshing, and dangerously easy to enjoy glass after glass.

A solid rich Ruby red with no tawny rim. Looks way younger than 27 years. An earthy, plummy leathery perfume with same earthy, plummy and minerally medium to full bodied palate - a sweaty saddle classic old Hunter Valley style. Medium plus intensity of flavour with great persistence. Demonstrates the amazing longevity of old vine Hunter Valley Shiraz. I think you could safely drink this into the late 2020s. Honouring the Hunter Valley legend, Maurice O’Shea, who made great wine in primitive conditions In the late 1940s and 1950’s. About 15 years ago I had a 1952 Mount Pleasant Shiraz made by the great man - just medium bodied and still full of energy. — 4 years ago

This was suppose to be a Friday night happy Champagne toast. But like Neapolitan, we drink Champagne in good & bad times.

We raise a glass in celebration of one of the greatest women of our time. Ruth, you were a true champion of Justice for the people. Rest in power. You have earned it. It has been a long time since I’ve had a Nicolas Feuillatte anything and never had their Rosé until It was at Costco for just over $30. I thought to myself time to give it a try & grabbed one.

The nose reveals; black cherries, strawberries, deep, ripe, watermelon, pomegranate & cranberry juice, hints of tangerine & even less rhubarb, cherry kirsch, good presence of yeastiness, bread dough, baguette crust, oyster shells, sea spray, some white spice, watermelon Jolly Rancher/fruit roll ups, fruit tea, saline, grey volcanics, soft chalky powder, candied, red florals that are brilliant with pink & red roses.

The palate is; round, thick, rich, lush & highly polished. Micro oxygenation. The fruits are very ripe, deep and juicy. Black cherries, strawberries, deep, ripe, watermelon, pomegranate & cranberry juice, hints of tangerine & even less rhubarb, cherry kirsch, good presence of yeastiness, bread dough, baguette crust, oyster shells, sea spray, more white spice on the palate with heat, watermelon Jolly Rancher/fruit roll ups, fruit tea, saline, just a splash of herbaceousness stingy, grey volcanics, soft chalky powder, candied, red florals that are brilliant with pink & red roses. The acidity is round & lively. The long finish is nicely balanced fruit & earth with a long set of spice that persists minutes.

Serviceable at this price point but, it’s not going to replace my BSR & Ruinart N/V Rosé habit. — 6 years ago

Very nice red blend for the finger lakes. This particular winery specializes only in red wines. Very nice atmosphere and they are wonderful hosts that are really knowledgeable. Winetasting would think you’re drinking California reds — 4 years ago
