Brut Rosé Champagne

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The NV Brut Rosé pours a very pretty pale pink with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with attractive notes of strawberry, raspberry, lemon curd, brioche and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and silky smooth. A quaffable Rosé that’s easy to like for its balance and approachability. Drink now. Base harvest 2017. Disgorged in October of 2022. — 22 days ago

Nice entry level Champaign with ample reserved wines (30% - 50%) that offers aromas of green apple, pear, lemon peel with hint of smoke and chalk. Vigorous bubbles. Clean and refreshing on the palate with vivid acidity. Clean cut finish. — 6 months ago

Auxerrois Coteaux de Champlitte

Yellow/green crisp color with a strong, aromatic nose that’s both stone-fruity and funky, this is a nice, crisp surprise. Strangely the nose has some turpentine like hints to it, along with some brioche-like Chardonnay notes, with white peach and fresh green hay. Medium bodied, but still slightly silky. — a year ago

Cuvée des Enchanteleurs Brut Champagne Blend 1996

Very mature a disappointment for the vintage . Had a 1985 the week before and it was more youthful. Not the best vintage for this cuvée. I have tasted this Champagne a few times — 3 months ago

Millésime Brut Champagne Blend 2014

50-50 chard and pinot. Quirky. Stone fruit and almost nose and almond and floral vanilla nose. The palate hits tingly, lifts with more fruit and flowers mid-palate then slopes downwards, finishes somehow savory and honeyed. — 5 months ago
