Wow. This has aged magnificently.
Nose: dense. Brooding but still alive. Complex as this opens a lovely florality. Utterly gorgeous 30 minutes in. More pink rose and pretty as it opens.
Palate: dark cherry. Silky. Clean. Spice.
So long.

Excellent blend. Nice body and a little dry. — 6 years ago
Are Italians even capable of producing a bad wine? This was one of the most perfectly balanced wines I’ve had in a while. Easy to drink, soft, not too fruity, dry, or acidic. Paired great with roast beef. — 6 years ago
NV but labeled Cuvee 2018. Bretty and funky upon opening, decanted it, and soon it was all chocolate nibs and black cherry — 7 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90min. The NV Sansevé pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart tropical fruit, white peach, lemon curd, white flowers and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and the texture is silky. Almost quaffable. Drink now. — a month ago

Refreshing red, almost moscato like. I would not drink it with dinner, but a dessert or just plain old sipping wine would do. We had it with dark chocolate cake and it paired. — 6 years ago
Great value! This tastes fresh. Note the most dry rosé, more like off-dry. Strong minerality balanced out with notes of melon and apricot — 7 years ago

What a weirdly animal, mushroom, forest( swamp) nose! Lots of extended skin contact , 10 days I believe. Natural fermentation and extended ( 5 years)aging in large barrels. No temperature control.Teran 40%, Merlot 40% Cab 20%. Iron, Plums, berries, bark, rocks, nails…
This is some wild and wooly stuff right across the Italian border in Slovenia.
Switching to a “proper”big glass from a decent Riedel stem tames down the funk and it finishes lighter than one may expect. Still bright at 13 years. Only 11.5°.
Very weirdly interesting.
