Inspired by Jim to drink our bottle of Ugni blanc and it did not disappoint, great balance and acidity, with hints of apple on the nose. — 5 years ago
Deep ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of baking spice, blackberry, cream, jam, oak, raspberry, and vanilla. Medium-high body; medium-plus tannins; and medium-high acidity. Enticing nose; smooth palate; lovely, long finish. Solid Napa Cab, silky and balanced. Majority of fruit from Yountville, and the rest from Calistoga. Barrel-aged in French oak (45% new) for 19 months. — 6 years ago
Recently discovered this brewery in Mason, MI (about 15 min from our house), this sour reminds me a lot of what I would descibe as a slightly lighter version of Jolly Pumpkin’s La Roja. Great balance with a hint of cherries, this beer is legit. Well done, Bad Brewing! — 7 years ago

Smooth with subtle hints of minerals. Light on the surface but has stronger aftertaste. — 9 years ago
Bold, jammy aroma of ripe red and purple fruits. Thin front, fruit-forward mid-palate, and a velvety finish. Alcohol, chocolate, and ash linger on the end. Juicy, but bigger on the nose than the palate. — a year ago
Nose has crushed blackberries, dehydrated blueberries, violets, moist mason sand, new leather, ripe plum with a touch of VA.
Palate has ripe blackberry, ripe blueberry, dried plum, stemmy notes, dry earth, portobello mushroom, faint vanilla with light tannins.
I'm adoring the nose, but the palate is coming up a little short on the richness I might have expected. A very solid wine for ~$14!

There are worse ways to travel than with Sherry and Oysters at the Fortnum and Mason counter in Heathrow.
The wine was like the ambiance: comfortable, sleek, and stylish, but also a little rushed and, curiously, it felt, in transit. Still, worse ways to unwind a an airport after a long day. — 9 years ago

Fresh nose with a nice mix of sweet & savoury, fresh ripe red fruit and moist undergrowth, a touch of cherry, a pinch of baking spice and a flowery whiff. Very pure and enticing.
On the palate this has lovely linearity & purity. Feather light & silky smooth, with very, very fine tannins and juicy acidity. There quite a bit of depth, too.
Precise, poised and very elegant.
Cuts above the usual Pinot Net crowd in Südtirol, the spectacular vineyard clearly helps. — 21 days ago
