Amber colour. Aromas of cedar and nuts and dried fruit with overripe suzina plums after the wasps have got to them. Tastes very dry but has a sweet rich warm mouthfeel. Sherry like but very clean if that makes sense. For me the perfect aperitivo. — 6 years ago
Delicious and different. Oxidative, rich. Not a beginner wine. — 8 years ago
Out of the ordinary Vernaccia di Oristano. The nose is intriguing but it is in the mouth where this Wine gets extraordinary with an infinite persistency — 9 years ago
Slate, a little spice, not much fruit, not too acidic. Really delicious. Purchased at Big Nose, Full Body, Brooklyn. — 10 years ago
Bonisimo! Blackberries, licorice, tobacco, and spice. Smoothest Cannonau we have ever had. — 4 years ago

Excellent Vermentino. Dry, crisp with subtle flower notes. Doesn't get any better than this for the price. — 6 years ago
Superb white that should probably age another 2-3 years.
Notes of fig, caramel and a slightly biting acidity — 7 years ago

Best vernaccia I’ve ever had. Riserva from ‘91. From my wife’s hometown. Love it. — 4 years ago
Drinking something unique and old like this is often a joy. But, I’d put this in the interesting but not delicious category. Brown like a Solera sherry, I can really only imagine this wine working in a haute cuisine pairing. Or in Sardinia on a cliff overlooking the sea, eating fried fish or some pecorino with tartufo and nuts as an antipasto. — 6 years ago
Very soft and smooth for a Cannonau. Black cherries, plums, earthy, slight tobacco. Very smooth, lingering finish. — 7 years ago

Medium pink-red. High-pitched, perfumed aromas of red cherry and plum, with a fresh grapefruit quality and a touch of peach. Deep and juicy, with precise red fruit flavors enlivened by harmonious acidity. Finishes long and suave, with impeccable balance, showcasing lingering red fruit and spice notes. Lots of flavor and only 11.5% alcohol. 100% Nieddera. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, June 2018)

Ceccherini Cristiano
Made from Vernaccia di Oristano
This is not dry, but very full flavor
I am not an expert on Vermouth, but this is clean, smooth and i would recommend it as an aperitif with a cube of ice perhaps.
Quite nutty. — a year ago
