Have had lucky with Rosé lately, and this continues the streak.
Raspberry, pink grapefruit, strawberry, apricot, melon…. Fruit galore! Chalky minerals and light herbs as well. Very structured on the palate with good texture, racy acidity, and hint of tannins.

Bright bing cherry, rhubarb, and strawberry on the nose. More cherry on the palate along with cedar, menthol, cranberry, cinnamon and clove. Medium minus tannins, moderate plus alcohol, and high acid. A lovely little pinot. — 6 years ago
Ahhh, I love a good Pinot Noir, the combination of a great vintage, terroir and winemaker make this 1er Cru Pinot Noir soooo good. Complexity, almost meaty, generous length and drinking beautifully now and will be for years to come. Paired with home-made ravioli filled with Canadian raised “Olsen Ranch” Bison Osso Bucco. Pop n pour. Given that it’s 70% Mourvèdre, the color is surprisingly light. (There’s 25% Grenache and 5% Syrah too.) Medium color saturation. Inviting nose of a melange of ripe berries and a smoky embers note. Crushed rock behind that. Soft and intensely flavored in the mouth, with the berries less prominent, jousting with dark earthy and pleasantly vegetal notes. Soft but balanced acids and tannins almost silky. Really nice. Terrific value at $25 from WTSO. — 7 months ago

Best Washington State riesling I've ever had. — 6 years ago
Mostly deep and dark, with some dried red fruit and savory smokiness showing through. Peppery and some bitterness at the end. Delicious. Went really well with filet mignon in shallot-caper vinaigrette and roasted cauliflower, asparagus, and chorizo. Good for an overcast or rainy evening ☁️ 75% old stones Syrah, 25% Olsen Grenache — 6 years ago
a.k.a. Restoration White. Olsen Ranch Vineyard, 100 cases made. Pale yellow, very good clarity. Floral, stone fruit and sulfite notes in nose. Heavier mouthfeel. Dry. Citrus, stone and tropical fruit flavors, some minerality, slight skin astringency in finish. Lemon-lime aftertaste. Complex, elegant. Website also mentions lees contact, but it's subtle. — 8 years ago
Another above-the-fold headline scoop from "Superman's Pal"! This is a dense, jammy blend with slimy smooth body. The rich dark cherry, red raspberry, and black currant flavors balance nicely. It works well as an after-dinner digestive wine. — 9 years ago
Incredible nose full of ripe melon, tropical fruit, and spice. It is rich yet crisp, with a long finish. Superb! — 3 years ago
Newish vintage, 600 cases produced. 94/6 blend of Grenache Blanc and Roussanne from three vineyards: Boushey (81% GB), Weather Eye (13% GB), Olsen (6% R). Pale yellow white, excellent clarity. Floral, vanilla and mild aldehydic barnyard aromas. Guava, lactic flavors, tropical fruit finish (banana then coconut? But this ain’t no Piña colada). Lingering cherry and heavy (skin and seed) tannic aftertaste . This is either serious experimental winemaking, or ultra craft-focused ‘blanc de noir’, or is this just their iteration of a pale “orange” wine? Massive tannins for a “white” wine. Not a wine for the faint of heart. Dry, just enough acidity, fruity but still pondering this one... The trop fruit flavors backed off, with cherry and other red fruit and Grenache character flavors emerging after 30-60 minutes. Tannins also softened somewhat, with patience — 6 years ago
Yakima Valley, Olsen Ranch Vineyard. 100 cases made. Pale yellow, excellent clarity. Floral, funk and sulfite notes in nose. Stone fruit flavors with creamy lemon finish, some skin astringency and mild seed bitterness. Dry, nice rounded mouthfeel, aftertaste of lemon and honeydew. Elegant sipping wine with its fruit, but just enough acidity to stand up to food. — 7 years ago
