Good, but not my favorite. Very different from the Ruinart we had before. Much darker in color and significantly more tannins. — 8 months ago

A perfect balance between oak and fruit (blackberry) from this Barossa Shiraz. Great winemaking from John Duval who has quite the CV. John was Chief Winemaker at Penfolds from 1986 until 2002 being only the 3rd custodian of Penfolds Grange after Max Schubert (creator of Grange) and Don Ditter. In 2020 this wine received Shiraz of the Year and 99 points from the James Halliday Wine Companion. The product of old vines in the Barossa. Luscious but in balance and overall - delicious. — 5 months ago

All Grenache (no Shiraz). And delicious. Really finds the sweet spot between ponderous, massive global-warming CDP and those people trying to do light picnic Grenache that should be chilled like fruit punch. Nose has kirsch and raspberry ooze, along with dank minerality. Nice flavor intensity in the mouth, but with little flab. Rich fruit quickly turns savory. Nice length and the balance between acids and tannins is well-struck. Should have gotten more. — 2 years ago

Rich and full bodied. I decanted it for 4 hours and it was a lot better than the last bottle. Amazing structure after 16 years. Would get more in the future. Nutty and spicy. — a month ago
