Great nose. Really enjoyed. — 2 years ago
Sandy, decomposed granite soils. Richly textured with a firm, tannic backbone support its dense fruit. Ripe, pushing soaked, black fruit, roasted meat, garrigue, talcum, menthol, violet, leather, and loads of pepper. There’s a firm thread of granite and sanguine throughout. This is wound up, I love the texture though, grainy and raw. It needs some time to harmonize its finish. Baby Hermitage! — 6 years ago
2nd time having this. Showing much more expansive on the palate than 6 months ago. Pure fruit. Long finish. — 10 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. Black plastic cork; the standard for Dard et Ribo. The 2015 “Les Rouges des Baties” pours a deep, dull ruby/purple with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of wild black brambles, oil cured olive, roasted meat, purple flowers, black pepper, a mix of organic and inorganic earth and dried herbs. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. An utterly beautiful expression of Crozes-Hermitage and this worked really well with goose from South Dakota. I’m smitten. Drink now through 2035. — 5 months ago

Cuvée les opateyres, white wine — 5 years ago
Expresses its windy exposition and kaolin clay soils, the fruit is dialed and taught with firm tannins driving the wine through the finish. Mineral underpinnings. Despite its nerve, the classic D&R buoyant fruit emerged. Would like to see it in 1-2 years to see where it is. — 6 years ago
