Pale. Lychee and petrol nose. Lots of apricot on the palate. High-minus acidity. Love it. Best when freshly open and chilled. Neither air nor warming to room temp does it favors. — 5 months ago
New vintage, yummy blackberries and, er, tobacco. Becoming a favorite. After 30 minutes, a healthy dose of fine-grained skin astringency emerges. Tangy or slightly tart on finish, with plenty of mouth-coating skin tannins. Worth decanting a couple of hours — 5 months ago
meaty, floral, garrigue, finessed, firm but open tannins. — 2 months ago
In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit! Tasting well now! — 3 months ago
