We tasted 17 wines today with owner Sebastian De Martino. He started us off with their 17 Reserve Legado Chardonnay. I liked it quite a bit. It reminded me of good Chablis with some slight differences. It was elegant and delicate. Some butteriness, honeysuckle, creamy but on the leaner side of creamy. Lemon custard, lemon, lime, green melon, guava, pineapple, nice saline & minerality with lilies and yellow florals. Excellent acidity and beautiful, rich finish. If this hasn’t landed in the US, it soon will. Buy some bottles, as it’s not only very good, it’s a steal at $20-$25. — 8 years ago

Nordes gin - Galicia Spain. Think about Rias Baixas (green and rainy, much like Ireland) and San Sebastian coastal village, famous for one of the world's most elegant white wines, Albarino.
Then make a base spirit from Albarino grapes, add 11 botanicals and you get a super cool gin. Flavors of fruit, white flowers, (you can almost taste the Mediterranean salty sea air) If your looking for traditional Juniper berry gin..move on. #NordesGin — 3 years ago

On the nose; ruby, dark currants, herbaceous notes, black licorice, vanilla, blackberries, black cherry, black plum, plum, strawberries with violets and fresh dark flowers.

On the palate; dark currants, blackberries, black cherries, black plum, strawberries, raspberries, anise, chalky minerals, touch of saline, stems, soft used leather, beautiful acidity and an elegantly, long, well polished finish.

On the nose; mid red fruits, beautiful red florals, violets, light; vanilla, cinnamon & clove, hints of band-aid, dark soils, soft minerals and dry stones.

On the palate; sticky & chewy tannins, cherries, strawberries, blueberries, black licorice, dry stems, soft wood presence, palate gripping soft minerals, dark rich soil, dry stones, nice acidity, bright red florals and a nice round finish.
