Cherry and blackberry notes, medium bodied, and lots of flavour. Served better slightly chill and let it breathe a bit. — 5 years ago
Smell has some thyme lavender, gold orange color, thyme oregano taste, some acids and a musty naturalness that carries through with a metallic final finishing tannin — 6 years ago
Amazing amarone! Rich taste, well-rounded, well balanced, long and rich aftertaste! — 5 months ago
The 2019 Barolo Cerretta marries power and vibrancy to great effect. Pressed dried flowers, iron, white pepper, smoke and blood orange lift a core of bright red-toned fruit. Lively acids and incisive tannins give the wine its overall feel. This is a gorgeous and super promising wine from Sergio Germano. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

Sergio Zenato and his wife Carla began to produce quality wines from an indigenous varietal, Trebbiano di Lugana, and passed down through the generations. A blend of 80% Corvina, 10% Rondinella, 10% Oseleta and Croatina. Medium Ruby with aromas of dried berry fruits, sweet and smoky notes with pleasant herb spice. On the palate flavors of ripe currants and sweet blackberries with cacao, spice, oak and nutty tones. Fine tannins, long complex finish ending slightly creamy with cedar notes. Starting to drink well now, enjoy over next 4-5 years. — 5 years ago

Lighter looking wine but a lot of red fruit, earth, leather and salt — 6 years ago
First Georgian wine, first orange wine, I'm in uncharted territories here 😊. Spoiler alert : I like it very much.
I have issues describing the nose as it's completely new to me : there is a bit of honey, a bit of menthol or petrol, some white flower notes too and a tiny touch of apricot. Wow
Here comes a palate with tannins 😮 a strong acid drive, a good width with matter and a nice thickness, honey and apricot and then that huge spherical mid palate where tannins kick in with a drying thing which creates some asperity and triggers a never-ending finish with that dry mouthfeel and the same honey, apricot touches.
I usually associate honey and apricot touches to sweet wines or some chenin crus. This is very dry, but with a weight and a nice presence. I'm a bit late on the trend but I'll look into orange wines some more (and Georgian wines too) — 6 years ago

Truly one of my favorite wines.
Such bright delicious fruit. Mineral. Great acidity. Grippy. Complex. Gorgeous hint of bitter. Gorgeous citrus. Elegant savory element.
