The nose is wonderful in my view. Of course the wood is there but there is a lot of brown sugar in it fit me. It reads hot on the palate, viscous with a long finish. Not a full mouthfeel but you still want more. — 6 years ago

Have yet to have an EK bottle disappoint. This is in a fantastic window right now. So good. From the winery; ‘In the glass, the 2013 Small Town Pinot is a very pretty medium garnet color. Explosive aromas of crushed red cherry, forest floor and spice abound, followed by an outright party of ripe cranberry, strawberry, black plum and rhubarb pie on the palate. All rounded out by hints of juniper berry, nutmeg and cloves. A hair riper than last year, but no less graceful, there’s a pleasant sense of all-around finesse.’ All ringing true tonight. I had a bottle of this limited edition in 2021, and at the time it was one of the best bourbons I'd ever enjoyed. Got my hands on a bottle of 2025 and it now costs considerably more. Really great juice. Although 109 proof, this does not throw too much heat. It tastes very much like a wheater (which it is not), yet the rye content is also prominent from the nose through the sip. Cherry, leather, cornbread, and cigar box. Best way I can describe it is that EH Taylor and Pappy 15 had a baby. It's very good.
