Elegant Sangiovese from #stagsleap district. Luscious, smokey with juicy fruit and a perfect light-dry finish. — 9 years ago
So sad they have sold their vineyards to Plumpjack. Just a great, and well balance bottle of cab that can go another 5-10 years — 10 years ago
Nice wine to start the evening. — 11 years ago
Bold an fruity, with green apple, leather, will hold up to some is the Italians. With a dry finish, you can pair with most foods. — 9 years ago
This wine is lush, very fruit forward, but a coal, tobacco, blackberry finish, took an hour to open, but when it did it bloomed! Just a great wine! — 10 years ago
Easy drink. Very berry. High alcohol content. Smooth! — 10 years ago

2012 4 winds Cabernet Sauvignon from Thomas Rivers Brown. Fruit sourced from the Steltzner Vineyard in the Stags Leap District. This is by far one of my favorite wines from the 2012 vintage. Great fruit, medium plus body. On the palate Smokey red fruit, cigar box smooth tannins and creme de cassis. Long finish. Great food wine. There is passion in this bottle. Can't wait to see where this bottle goes with 5 to 10 years rest! — 11 years ago
Casis, cherry and dark fruits and pencil lead..
Surprising fresh fruits and fine tannin for a 19 years old Cabernet Sauvignon from Stag's Leap district.
Love the old day how California winegrower make the wine !!! — 11 years ago
This might have been the best bottle of this vintage that I’ve had but not a reason to rush out to get any more. — 5 years ago
A 14-year-old Malbec. Wow. Inky purple in the glass. The cork is so deep purple; it's almost black. Even without aeration, I knew this was going to be amazing. The nose has notes of raisins and chocolate after some time in the glass. The palate speaks of black currents and black cherries, with a little lavender in the finish. — 6 years ago
Very good. Still with burst of fruit for an '08 and finishes with just enough tannin — 10 years ago
Deep color; big dark cherry, cola, and earthy tones. Balanced oak, silky mouthfeel. — 10 years ago
Excellent with spice notes and full fruit. We are on our count down! — 11 years ago

2023 vintage. Tasted via Coravin. Love me some SLD cabbage. Medium-medium heavy body. Earthy, loamy, cocoa powdery nose. Striated richness throughout with sleek raspberry and baking chocolate accents. Wow. Phenomenal shizz. Picked up a 3-pack. Top 5 Napa new vintage cab tasted in 2025 (and tasted waay too many new Best In Show wannabe's this year). 09.25.25. — 9 months ago
