2024/7/24-25. As an old fan of Maume via the KLWM connection, I’m predisposed towards this. It starts off very quiet, but the nose opens significantly over 30 minutes or so. It starts with red fruit, herbs and stone, but over time reveals darker fruit, iron and earth. The dense, powdery mouthfeel, layered fruit and grippy tannin shows this is still quite young and will probably improve for some time. Also, even I have to admit a (legacy) Maume Pallud may be more suited for cooler weather… — 2 years ago

Nose of highway rest areas. ( as in pure diesel). My daughter didn’t even want to try it. But after some mild coaxing she did. Crisp, zesty, expressive- some pineapple and lemon/ lime zest. Touch, just a touch of sugar on the tail end. Marvelous wine for $15. — 7 years ago

Dark berry fruit, minerality, soft-integrated baking spice. Medium, grippy tannins.
