Bricchi Castelrocchero Barbera d'Asti 2021

Velvety from start to finish but not too heavy. I must have had a different vintage versus others below because I felt subtle acid made for a good mouthfeel - so soft on the palate it was a pleasure to drink. Recommended as a substitute for another Lange Nebbiolo and didn’t disappoint. — 8 months ago

Briccorosa Rouchet Monferrato Rosso Ruche 2014

A bright, fun + festive wine from one of Piemonte’s unicorn varieties, made in an unexpectedly elegant style. Smells like cinnamon + berries. Tastes like Nebbiolo on spring break. Drinks like silk. — 5 years ago

Selvarossa Dolcetto d'Acqui 2000

8.9

Hard to believe this is 19-yr old Dolcetto. Earthy stewy cherry with nice acids and soft soft mouthfeel. Shows its age in some ways but also feels strangely timeless - like a pretty older woman who’s never had any work done. — 6 years ago

Le Coste di Monforte Barolo Nebbiolo

Very much enjoyed but something held it back from loving. I think it lacked a little richness to be really a top notch wine. That being said had a mild sweetness and bite and will definitely get again. — 5 years ago

La Bogliona Barbera d'Asti Superiore 2010

9.0

2010 has lots of acidities and lots of fruit still not fully merged with the structure, therefore it is still top heavy and slightly unbalanced. It still possesses the sense of authority, integrity and completeness all great wines have. — 6 years ago

La Selva di Moirano Vino da Tavola Rosso Red Blend 2016

Dry Brachetto. Bright, easy drinking, very versatile. Pretty nose - strawberry, red cherry, roses . Reminded me of frappato — 6 years ago
