Very nice fruity Shiraz — 6 years ago
In a constant casual search for birth year bottles, I came across this - I liked the smart label design and recognized the Eisele name, but wasn’t expecting much. Amazingly fresh and vibrant! Just starting to show elegant tertiary character of cigar box and incense, with a core of fresh berry and stone fruit. Palate is generous and velvety. A fantastic surprise and beautiful pairing for the old standby NY strip steak and roasted potatoes. — 7 years ago

828 cases made, 50/21/20 blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Sangiovese plus minor additions of Counoise, Petite Sirah and Barbera. Medium extracted pigment, very good clarity. Fruity nose, lightly tannic, cherryish flavors with notes of tangerine, mint, spearmint and white pepper. Pioneers of wine growing in Cochise County AZ. Paired it with grilled chicken and red mole, and also grilled salmon. Artisanal yet tasty — 5 years ago
Nez puissant et profond — 8 years ago
1961. Wine older than me. Lots of cedar box and cigar. Tannin completely resolved. Lots of tertiary aromas and flavor. Can’t believe after all these years....still going strong. At Bern’s in Tampa. Page 85 of the 180 page wine list. More like a wine book. — 9 years ago

This #shiraz is on fire right now incredible evolution in the bottle so young for a 2019! between the screw cap, the alcohol, a little bit of residual sugar and just the beautiful fruit of this wine. This wine is incredible right now seven years later, it’s got so much typicity of #Barossa #Australia, deep color, full-bodied lots of black fruit, blackberry jam — 8 days ago
